Gold Star Memorial Bridge I-95 Southbound Rehabilitation Project Update: February 2019

On November 30, 2018, the Gold Star Memorial Bridge I-95 Southbound Rehabilitation Project achieved substantial completion. Only a minor amount of weather-dependent punch list/unfinished work remains to be completed. Motorists can expect periodic lane closures this coming spring 2019 for the completion for these minor items of work. Additional updates will be posted regarding the completion of punch list work that requires lane closures.

The Contractor, Mohawk Northeast, Inc. has done an excellent job for the Department on this project. Together, along with our inspection staff and design team, the project was delivered on time, including significant changes orders and additions to the project. No small feat, indeed!

We would also like to thank the traveling public, including those who utilize the pedestrian sidewalk for their patience and understanding over the past 20 months of construction. We recognize and appreciate the periodic inconveniences that occurred over the duration of the project.

Also, as more information becomes available, updates will be posted for the I-95 NB Gold Star Bridge rehabilitation project. Please see the “NORTHBOUND PROJECT” tab for details.
